When it comes to ladies wear, we’re all familiar with the feelings of comfort and confidence that come with putting on a pair of jeans that fits perfectly or a jacket that we love with all our heart. We wish every article of clothing we owned felt that way, and we want that feeling in every new item we purchase. For most lady riders, we often wear leather or jack-ets that are available, versus wearing clothing that fits our tastes, often wearing mens wear. Face it, many motorcycle shops have just not offered ladies wear, we find this is mainly because male owned or managed motorcycle gear shops are not comfortable with selling ladies wear. Sales takes training, and our brand is an attempt to bring this educa-tion to a male dominated industry.
With riding gear, women deserve to look and feel great, protected and comfort-able out on the road. Safety on the road has been a focus of our studies. We know black for color is simply the toughest to see and yet the most widely sold. We truly upend the market with our choices, our vision and our style.
What if I told you that wearing gear that looks as good as it is safe can positively affect our ability to ride safely? 90% of accidents are preventable, I remember my MSC educator telling us. Confidence comes from many areas, and surely it comes from how we feel about ourselves. It makes sense. The reason people love to shop for any fashion is how that piece of clothing makes you feel. Riding is import-ant yet our safety is paramount. Women have so much to risk, we are needed and wear so many hats day to day outside of being a motorcyclist.

To me, this is a belief that is not logical and as an entrepreneur and rider, I wanted to make a difference bringing a runway to roadway shopping experience to the ladyrider community. Owning businesses, taking risks, living life to the fullest are just a few parts of my own experi-ence being a Blazen Spirit. You may giggle, the name Blaze was a family horse we had as a child, it was my Grandmas and she truly encouraged me to be creative as a young girl.I’ll say this brand is a bit of a tribute to my Grandma Margie, yet to all ladies who find cre-ativity is worth exploring.
When it comes to sizing, it takes little time to describe the frustrations ladies have with fit. Much less the constant focus we see in motor-cycle shops for the men riders. Let’s say this, nearly 75% of the rider population are men. Lady riders, whether riding their own or on back, have been unnoticed in many parts of the online buying world.

It seems unfor tunate to assume that good-look-ing gear can't or isn’t going to also be protective. While beauty and attractiveness are subjective, it's hard to argue against the difference between something that is clunky and dark versus elegant and beautiful. I have spent many years as a lady rider, my riding journey began at near age 40. I have been to so many great places, rode with my son in Virginia Beach, been over the 7 mile bridge to Key West countless times, rode solo and rode in groups yet I have seen so many unfortu-nate accidents where knowing if good gear had been used, a person likely would have saved their leg, saved thousands on medical bills or protected their gorgeous self or most important their life.
